Tina Knowles, renowned businesswoman and mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, has revealed that her cherished Malibu bungalow was destroyed in the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The Palisades fire, which ignited on January 7, 2025, has ravaged over 17,000 acres with no containment as of January 9.
In an emotional Instagram post, Knowles shared a video taken on her 71st birthday, just days before the disaster, showcasing a serene ocean view with dolphins swimming nearby. She captioned the video: "This is what I was looking at on my birthday this past weekend from my tiny little bungalow on the water in Malibu! It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred Happy Place. Now it is gone!!"
Expressing gratitude towards the firefighters, Knowles wrote, "We Thank you for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives." She also extended her condolences to others affected by the multiple fires in the region, stating, "To the people who lost their homes and belongings, I can only imagine how it feels to lose properties and everything you own! My heart and deep prayers go out to all of you."
The Los Angeles wildfires have led to the destruction of over 10,000 structures and have claimed at least six lives. Other celebrities, including Jhené Aiko, have also reported losing their homes to the fires.
Authorities continue to battle the blazes, urging residents to adhere to evacuation orders and prioritize safety. The community remains resilient, with many expressing hope and determination to rebuild in the aftermath of the disaster.
