Billboard names Taylor Swift as Artist of the Century based on chart history rather than talent.

Billboard has honored Taylor Swift as the number one artist on its "Top Artists of the 21st Century" chart, a recognition based on her exceptional chart performance and commercial success.

Since her debut in 2006, Swift has consistently dominated the Billboard charts. She holds the record for the most Billboard Music Awards, with a total of 49, surpassing previous record-holder Drake.

Swift's achievements include 14 number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 59 top-10 hits on the Hot 100, the most for a female artist. She has spent 86 weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, the longest for a solo artist.

This accolade adds to Swift's numerous honors, including being named Billboard's top artist in 2009, 2015, 2023, and 2024—the only artist to achieve this four times since the title's inception in 1981.

Swift's recent "Eras Tour" further solidified her status, breaking attendance and revenue records worldwide. Her ability to connect with audiences through her storytelling and musical versatility continues to set her apart in the industry.

As Swift continues to evolve as an artist, her impact on the music industry remains profound, with this latest recognition from Billboard underscoring her significant contributions to 21st-century music.
