Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Support Los Angeles Wildfire Victims and First Responders

On January 10, 2025, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the Pasadena Convention Center to meet with victims of the Los Angeles wildfires and first responders. Their unplanned visit aimed to support community members without causing disruptions.

Wearing baseball caps to maintain a low profile, the couple listened to survivors' stories and witnessed the community's resilience. They donated clothing and essential supplies and served meals alongside volunteers from chef José Andrés' World Central Kitchen. They expressed appreciation to the teams working to support fire victims and committed to further assisting recovery efforts.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also met with Pasadena's mayor, Victor Gordo, and thanked first responders, including Los Angeles County firefighters and police.

The ongoing wildfires have caused significant devastation, with over 5,000 structures destroyed, 200,000 evacuations, and at least 11 fatalities reported in Los Angeles County.

In addition to their volunteer efforts, Harry and Meghan have opened their Montecito home to friends affected by the fires and encouraged the public to offer help and donations to various charitable organizations involved in the relief efforts.

Their involvement has been well-received, with many praising their hands-on approach and commitment to supporting those in need during this crisis.
