Chris Martin Joins Star-Studded Lineup for Invictus Games 2025 Opening Ceremony


 Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin, is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 on February 8. He joins a distinguished lineup that includes pop icon Katy Perry, Canadian singer Nelly Furtado, GRAMMY-nominated artist Noah Kahan, and Quebec's own Roxane Bruneau.

The ceremony will commence at 1 p.m. at BC Place, with tickets starting at $40.37 (plus fees), available through the official Invictus Games 2025 website.

Chris Martin's association with the Invictus Games dates back to its inception in 2014, when he composed the Invictus Anthem. His music has since been a staple at the Games' medal ceremonies. His upcoming performance aims to celebrate the themes of hope, resilience, courage, and the indomitable Invictus Spirit that the Games embody.


Founded by Prince Harry, the Invictus Games provide a platform for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans to participate in adaptive sports. The 2025 event will feature 550 athletes from up to 25 nations competing in 11 adaptive sports from February 8 to 16. The closing ceremony will showcase performances by Jelly Roll, Barenaked Ladies, and The War and Treaty.

Prince Harry has been actively involved in selecting the headlining acts, underscoring the significance of the event and its star-studded performances.

Chris Martin's participation is anticipated to be a highlight of the opening ceremony, reflecting his ongoing support for the Invictus Games and its mission to honor and empower service members and veterans.
