Cristiano Ronaldo Extends Al Nassr Contract Until 2026

Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has reached an agreement with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr to extend his contract by an additional year, keeping him with the team until June 2026.

An official from Al Nassr confirmed the agreement, noting that while the extension has been settled upon, formal signing is pending and an official announcement is expected in the coming days.

Ronaldo, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday, initially joined Al Nassr in January 2023 on a contract set to expire in June 2025. Since his arrival, he has made a significant impact, scoring 75 goals and providing 18 assists in 84 appearances.

The new contract is reported to be highly lucrative, with some sources indicating that Ronaldo will earn approximately €550,000 per day, totaling around €3.8 million per week.

Additionally, reports suggest that the agreement includes a provision granting Ronaldo a 5% ownership stake in Al Nassr, further solidifying his long-term association with the club.

Beyond his on-field contributions, Ronaldo is expected to take on a role as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, reflecting his growing influence within the country's football landscape.

This contract extension underscores Ronaldo's commitment to Al Nassr and his intention to continue his illustrious career in Saudi Arabia, potentially positioning him to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
